I will fill everyone in on the details of the weekend later. Right now, I just want to say that the party went well, and that this morning, the sky is a perfect flawless blue. There is sunlight streaming into my back room, through the fish-decorated panels my housewarming guests put up last night. The cats are camped out in the diffuse warm light. It's still the brightest room in the house, but it's also much more festive.

I'm typing this in my new office for the first time, looking out over the parking lot and the towering palm trees on our block. I need to decorate this room, next (and get some of the boxes out of it).

This is going to work.

Thank you to everyone who came and made a fish-like object last night and provided good energy to this place.

I loved coloring in the fish with the wonderful color pencils and hanging out with fun people and the tasty tuna. thank you so much. I can't remember the last time I got to do art at a party and I love it! may much art flourish in your new home.
