Btw, fried, battered lemon slices are really very nice. This, I learned from my anniversary dinner earlier this week.

I've seen recipes for this that call for Eureka lemons. I think the frying takes the edge off the acidity. Frankly, it tastes a lot like what sprinkling lemon juice over fried fish does, without the fish.
