Writing Assessment
Dec. 16th, 2003 10:50 amLooking back on the year, I am slightly unhappy with my writing output. Quantity, not quality, I hasten to add.
On the one hand, the beginning of the year -- heck, the first eight months -- was stressful and weird enough that I really should give myself a free pass. And then I moved. And then two of my jobs radically transformed.
And on the other hand there was the SF Literation Front, which pushed me into some interesting new directions that I'm kind of happy with. And of course I've kept up with my writing-for-pay duties just fine.
But overall, I am less than thrilled. I need to get into a more productive rhythm. Although a quick check of my archives says that I completed six chapters of my long-delayed Project, plus three short stories (two sold), so that's not so bad.
