Feb. 27th, 2008 09:44 amI haven't seen Juno yet.
I think it's coincidence (i.e., I don't think they're coming out of the woodwork b/c of the Oscar win, nor am I seeking them out due to same), but suddenly I have run across several reviews that make me wonder if I'm not lucky that I've missed it so far. Would I be one of the cranky decryers, or one of the smitten and swooning? Hard to tell.
Makes me really want to work on my new [data embargo], though.

Date: 2008-02-28 07:22 am (UTC)I did not see Juno. I am content to wait for a while until one day, a year or two from now, I see it on a video store shelf or something. I had lots of people recommend it, and there's still something about it that just makes me... wary. I had several "please give me my $10 back" movie experiences in January, and my wallet still hurts.

Date: 2008-03-02 03:31 am (UTC)that said, there's a lot of good in it, and the charecters grow beautifully and change in believable ways. writing = damn good.
