I'm usually into the aquarium, and if timing didn't work, we can scare up 5-6 guest cards among my household to send with friends, if that were useful. :)

Karaoke not me, and I don't care for Ninotchka. Otherwise, they all sound wonderful, even if Ici does claim that its ice cream "connects us to the circle of life," it still tastes good.

Ninotchka is problematic as a whole, but I love its parts. I think also it is particularly a movie of my childhood in ways that are hard to explain.

All About Eve is one of the other movies I am considering. In part b/c G. has never seen any of them.

All About Eve, good. Sunset Boulevard good. I hear you about Ninotchka; I expect we just came to it from different directions. If you show it with one of the others, I'll likely go sit in the garden (or kitchen) and read, and be perfectly happy.

pantryslut, you didn't tell me it was woo-woo ice cream. :)

My woo-woo filters are so good, I didn't even notice. It's not Cafe Gratitude levels of anything, don't worry.

With all the trimmings (okay, not Cafe Gratitude trimmings). When [livejournal.com profile] imnotandrei and I were there about a week ago, they had cilantro sorbet. And the sign about the circle of life. But it was damned good ice cream.

Any. All. Except my voice is still too gravely for karaoke. But I clap for everybody though.

"do you and the lads like musicals?"

I'm not a big fan.
They must be rock based, and have a queer theme central to the plot.
It pretty much limits me to Rocky Horror and Hedwig. :)

ah but the motherlode: TOMMY... or doesn't the intense camp of elton john and ann-margaret count as queer them?

Date: 2008-05-12 07:37 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] black-pearl-10.livejournal.com
Camp does count as queer, but in my case since it's not a central theme of the plot itself...it doesn't make my list.

Besides, I tried to watch it while I was in high school, and I'm afraid I found it dreadfully dull.
(Shhh, don't tell imnotandrei)

I guess that's why I found The Wall boring too. :)

I am picky about musicals. I did go to the sing-along West Side Story, and man was that fun. But other musicals, eh.

The Women, though, totally!

Garden parties, Poker, and aquariums are all things I like. I can enjoy karaoke in the right crowd too. :)

I think we might qualify as the right crowd :) And the credit doesn't just go to the audience -- the Annie's folks are a lot of fun.
