Sometimes I feel like I'm the only sex writer around who was not particularly impressed with Swingtown. The ham-handed musical cue at the end of the episode I caught did not help matters, I'm afraid.

Oh, nope. Looked it up. Yeah, she's hot. But I'm all about the swinger neighbors. When they got to the pool scene I really wished it wasn't network TV.

I think it's trading on Boomer pseudo-nostalgia, people who wish they could remember having experiences like those.

I'm not impressed, but I find it amusing in places, and occasionally hot.

You aren't the only one. I think the show would have been noteworthy 20 years ago. But, I stopped watching after the first two episodes because it wasn't all that interesting or well-written.

Hah. I *do* like it, but as we've already established, I was born in the 60s and am therefore susceptible to that music. I am also Canadian, and the dangling prospect of a naked Molly Parker is too much for me to resist.


And it's not because of Deadwood -- we go *way* back, to Kissed and Twitch City. I went *wibble* when she came to my bookstore one day back in 1999 :)
