Speaking of ears...

April likes to stick cereal in her ears. I don't think this is related to the ear infection itself...nevertheless, please file "how do I keep my baby from putting cereal kernels in her ears" under questions I'd never thought I'd be asking anyone.

(Up her nose, too. And I didn't teach her this time! Unlike my sister :) )

P.S. Simone merely pretends to wash her hands in squashed fruit.

My older brother once tried to stick a wooden spoon handle up his nose. I think he was about three at the time, and needless to say, that did not end well. He got it up further than one might have thought possible, and then panicked when it got stuck there. I don't know why some kids have a nearly irresistible urge to stick things inside every orifice. It's hilarious, except when it might result in injury or infection.

sometime around the age of three, i stuck a button so far up my nose my mum had to take me to the emergency room(?) at mather AFB hospital, where i ended up in surgery and had to spend at least one night in the hospital. i hope april doesn't follow my lead! ;)
