a) Sentence the other day from Simone: "don't beep the button." (She had a button on her overalls that she was feeling protective of.) We're awash in Simone sentences over here, all of them imperatives, which meshes with her personality well. "Wash your hands" is the clear favorite. We have a game in which we mock the way she says it and she in turn exaggerates its pronunciation to make us laugh.
b) We also seem to have begun potty training, slowly. We have two chairs, and apparently it's a treat to be allowed to sit on them, clothed. I talk to them about what potties are for. I bring them with me sometimes when I go. I bought a book. I'm looking at videos. I have also discovered a hitch in the process unique to twins: when only one of them is sitting on the potty and the second one is empty, neither can resist the temptation to remove the basin from the unoccupied seat.
c) Other misc notes: April's constipation is better. Blueberries have replaced strawberries as the food obsession of choice, with mango a close second and noodles perhaps third.
