Birthday Miscellany

1. April is so very interested in dance. And martial arts. She likes to imitate the moves of the people on TV, whether they are breaking boards, doing yoga or bellydance, you name it. I am trying to find some appropriate media for her, and I am also investigating classes. (This is why I need to learn to drive.)
2. Ohgane Korean Barbecue on Broadway in Oakland gets major love from my entire household plus one for the way they handled us at dinner tonight, overexcited toddlers included. And also for their very delicious food. And the fact that they are well-ventilated enough that I do not smell like smoke right now. Oh, and their pork belly. Wow.
3. I have a new camera that's smaller (though not slimmer, quite) than my wallet! Thank you!
4. This new drug brings back very potent memories of early pregnancy, what with all the bathroom trips.
5. I am only doing the very preliminary research on this new writing thing, but it's freaking me out again. Still. Again. There may have to be a filter. Or something. I don't know.

Date: 2010-08-12 07:39 am (UTC)Here's a video I made some time ago. It doesn't feature the kids program, but I would be happy to introduce you personally to Sensei if you think this might be a match for her.

Date: 2010-08-13 11:19 pm (UTC)Since she's still so very young, I think I am going to look for some sort of creative movement class first, but aikido is on my short list of things to consider when she's a few years older--I notice most programs begin in about the 4-6 year range.
