The People on the Bus

Both girls are very fond of the song "The Wheels on the Bus." Today Simone in particular was insisting on "more, again." It gets a little tiresome to sing the same six or so verses over and over again, so I have a tendency to improvise after a while. Things like "the commuters on the bus go 'text, text, text'" or "the nannies on the bus say 'excuse my stroller'." I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Today G. and I had the same wicked thought at the same time, and out came:
"The grannies on the bus say 'they're so cute! they're so cute; are they mixed?'"
and then it was all out in the open.
"The people on the bus say 'are they yours?'"
"The white folks on the bus say 'she's so tan!'"
And so on for several more verses. I know, I am going to Hell.
