I know that good cookbooks are supposed to look broken-in. No working cookbook should expect to stay pristine.
But is it asking too much that I own a cookbook for more than a day before spilling tea along the edge? Sigh.
Dinner tonight; green tea rice (chazuke) with seasoned sardines and, of course, generous helpings of pickles. I was reading the cookbook while I prepared the rice by pouring green tea over it, and some dribbled the wrong way down.
