Jul. 17th, 2011 04:54 pmYou know, I've actually been pretty easygoing overall on the overly-gendered-kids-clothing thing. But I would really, really, really like to find some padded cloth training pants that aren't covered with either a) pink flowers and butterflies or b) blue sports equipment. Dammit.
ETA and c) cost less than $10+ a pair!

Looks like Amazon also has some gender neutral designs by Kushies brand too in your price range.

Date: 2011-07-18 01:31 am (UTC)Gerber makes nice white ones, as well as blue stripes and other less obviously gendered ones. The gerber are thin, more like regular undies with a little extra padding down the middle, good for daytimes with a kid who is able to stay dry for short periods. Also super soft and they come up high instead of being like little damn bikini/speedos.

Date: 2011-07-18 02:31 am (UTC)Charlie fits into the 3T, so they run a little big, FYI!
Hannah Andersson makes really nice ones, $26 for three--pricey but they are very nice. Soft, full coverage. They have solids in "girl colors" and "boy colors" but the boy colors aren't, like, army green or anything - navy, red, and grey. Their prints are $28 for three and it's debatable whether the boy print is entirely gendered--monsters and robots, IIRC. I didn't look at the girl prints but HA is very into loud florals so I'm guessing the girl-print underwear will be flowery, but they have girl solids too.
