Sep. 3rd, 2012 05:09 pmSimone announced at the playground today that she had to go home and do her homework.
"You don't have any homework," I said.
"Yes I do!" she insisted. "I have to write."
My child is making up homework assignments for herself.
In related news, we have reached the stage where she carefully prints (shaky, mile-high) letters in a random order upon the paper and then asks an adult what word she's spelled. I'm gonna die the first time she does this and manages to make a real word. I'm guessing next week.
