pantryslut1. The kids' preschool normally has a whiteboard where the staff writes up a short account of what everyone did with their day. Today it read simply: "We will take care of your children." Which was both sappy and sweetly appreciated.
2. Underneath that was taped a printout about California salamanders, which are apparently all over the back yard at the moment. (So tiny!) Simone solemnly told me they weren't touching them because "it would make them dead." April, however, has apparently been holding them gently and then putting them back "in their habitat." A lot.
3. Tonight we finally get a Christmas tree.
