Last night's con wind-down was enhanced by the fact that many people were turned away at the airport due to bad weather in Chicago and ended up hanging out with us instead. Yet somehow, the Cubs were able to play baseball, against a backdrop of dramatic black clouds. I hope the tornado watch was over by then, because I can't imagine Wrigley Field's basement is *that* big. I am now completely out as a rabid and indiscriminate sports fan to the WisCon crowd. They were tolerantly indulgent. The Brits in particular (not just you,
brisingamen) bemusedly quizzed me on various aspects of US sports.
Didn't drink my second New Glarus beer because the cafe we went to was having a half-off special on bottles of wine. But I did discover they make a beer called Fat Squirrel.
Didn't manage to get into either the pool or the hot tub this year. Oh well. Next year perhaps.
I re-upped for the writer's workshop next year as well.
And I started a new story that looks like it's got legs. So to speak.
Now, time to pack and check out. I promise more con details in the next few days.

Wish I'd been there!

and watching all the exciting thunderstorms.
