WisCon in jewelry
Jun. 3rd, 2004 04:02 pmI managed somehow to bring home three pairs of earrings and two necklaces from WisCon. All are the fault of
elisem except for the second necklace, which I bought at the auction and was made by the fabulous Freddie Baer.
Earring set #1: black beads and gold spiders, from the "Naughty Alice" collection. Tres goth. I knew I had to have them the moment I saw them. I mean, they're gold spiders...
Earring set #2: Purple-black flower beads from the Haiku Earring Party. Here's the haiku I wrote to go with them:
When The Bad Fairy Kisses
A touch like foxglove
and you slip into her arms
blood spotting your lips.
Earring set #3 matches the silver and cinnabar-like bead necklace that
elisem lengthened for me. I bought it after Steven and I made our first purchase, and she countered with a 50% discount for anything else we bought that weekend. I think I lasted 15 minutes. Anyway, it's gorgeous.
Necklace #2 is made of irregular dark purple glass beads, a description which does not at all do it justice. Maybe I will have to post pictures.
The catch is this: I have no holes in my ears with which to wear my acquisitions.
Clearly, this will have to change and I will have to be topologically altered. Hm....
Suggestions? Volunteers? ;)
