When I'm Not Cooking...
May. 3rd, 2003 11:56 pmFor those of you who've garnered the impression that all I do is cook, and eat:
1. I read a lot of books.
2. I sleep.
3. I work myself into exhaustion. And RSI flareups.
4. In theory, I garden. Most of my gardening at the moment is highly theoretical, however.
5. I take walks around the park.
6. I write.
7. I play too many games of Civ 2.
8. I have sex.
9. Go to readings and signings and other events of that general nature. Sometimes concerts and shows, though usually only when I'm on the list.
10. Visit friends.
11. Play with the cats.
I don't:
1. Go to the gym. Or to fitness classes. I should be doing some upper-body large muscle movement stuff for my RSI's, but I haven't found something that I like enough to get me out of the house yet.
2. Eat out a lot. I'm too poor at the moment.
3. Travel much. See above about being poor.
4. Shop much. Ditto.
5. Get out of the house as much as I would like.
Today, I went to the farmer's market (oops, food again), took a nap, took a shower, attended the Locus Magazine Anniversary Party at Borderlands Books, ate at the cool East Berlin-ish restaurant Walzwerk, came home and watched Margaret Cho's I'm The One That I Want, played a game of Civ2, and wrote a little. Tomorrow I plan to shop for groceries and sex supplies, and take another nap. And write more. And then Monday it's back to working all the damn time.
