Had an appointment at a temp agency this morning. Took some tests.

MS Word: Intermediate.
Excel: Beginning to Intermediate.
Typing: 65 wpm.

Aced the proofreading test.

Bonus: Proof that I live in the Bay Area is provided by the fact that when I accidentally handed over imnotandrei's passport instead of my own, complete with very shaggy passport photo, the guy I was interviewing with didn't even blink -- he just asked about the alternate name.

Would anyone be surprised that you aced the proofreading test?

I was a little surprised. But tests that consist mostly of compare Text A to Copy A and highlight any errors, that I can do with ease.

Also, all the sample text consisted of food writing -- reviews, menus, invoices. I felt almost like I was cheating. "Tarregon" indeed.
