(This entry is not relevant to this morning, just something I remembered I wanted to say.)

When I'm called upon to write a backup article with almost no notice to replace an article by another writer who has either missed the point or flaked due to technical difficulties, I want hazard pay.

This weekend also happened to be the weekend of the AVN Awards Show. As a reviewer for AVN, I get a free ticket to the event if I want one.

This is the second year I've turned it (and its accompanying no-expenses-paid trip to Las Vegas) down.

Though I'd still like to go someday, just for the experience, I can safely say that it was entirely worth staying in town instead. Even with the intervening migraine.

In other news...

I got my last phone sex check this afternoon.*

This coincides neatly with the fact that I got Issue #2 of Problem Child back from the printers this weekend. The masthead reads, "this zine funded by loose change, used CDs, and phone sex."

And all the lovely folks who attended Saturday Night's Perverts Put Out! event, of course.



* technically, I can go back to work any time I please, I'd just been waiting for this little payment dispute to disentangle itself before I did so. But I've kinda lost my enthusiasm for the work -- not to mention the time to do it in.
