My voice revisited
Dec. 15th, 2004 10:22 amOK, I admit it: it was a trick question. There are at least three registers that I use regularly as my "speaking voice." I have what G. described last night as a dulcet baritone (flatterer), a mid-range tone, and a higher, "social" tone that I use a lot on the phone, at parties, or when interacting with retail people. So I was curious -- which one would people associate with me?
My reading voice is closest to the middle register. So was my phone sex voice.
I used to sing soprano in choir, though I've lost some top notes since.
