Apparently my extended family is in dire need of a very sharp filleting knife, just in case 70-odd pounds of salmon are ever dropped on our doorstep again.

Otherwise, the results are unpretty but tasty (so far). And mustard goes good with broiled fillets.

I have enough heads, fins, and spines to make a year's worth of fish stock, I swear. And I look forward to it.

I know some of you check him religiously (as it were), but I do not. However, have I mentioned the fact that I hate Rob Breszny?

"You've been given a prophetic glimpse of the great victory that's possible. You're very close to neutralizing an old bugaboo and making sure that the past will no longer hold you back. Now comes the hardest part: Will you be able to sustain your concentration until the triumphs are actually accomplished? Or will you be lulled into lazy complacency by the sense of security that your partial breakthroughs have provided? Personally, I believe you will summon the dogged ingenuity necessary to finish the job; you will turn almost into completely."

I am getting a little tired of my downtown lunch options. I think it's time to start taking my lunch more often.

What are your favorite take-to-work lunch components?

So, I'm about nine months behind on my submissions reading for Problem Child. No, really. "It's been a busy year" is my only excuse.

So why is is that in the past three days, I have been getting one unsolicited submission a day? Nobody's seen hide or hair of this zine for a year. I have not sent out any new calls for material. As far as I know, nobody has republished my guidelines anywhere new. What's up?

Can I blame spring?
