a) Dan Savage Prints a zillion letters from high-libido women with nary a blink. Extra bonus points for the review of 300 at the end.

b) Meanwhile, Garrison Keillor apologizes. Sort of. Comes off as less of a homophobe, and more of a smug asshole.

food notes

a) First run of new breakfast regimen this morning: yogurt and a granola bar. I'm not starving yet, so it seems like a good match so far.

b) Bought a couple pounds of whitebait at the butcher store this weekend. They were so gorgeous, silvery, and small. Cut off the heads, breaded and pan-fried them. In the breading mix: two Middle Eastern peppers (one smoked, one not), a touch of paprika, salt and pepper, and oregano. Outcome: very tasty indeed.
