(I forgot the link yesterday, and the header. Sorry. I notice I am remiss on tags, too.)

I'm gonna consolidate these two for expediency's sake.

How did you learn to facilitate so well?

Gosh, I don't know. I did attend a ten-hour training a long time ago in college which touched on this (among many other topics, though), but I think the rest is all observation and practice. I certainly don't feel like this is one of the strongest skills in my skill set, to be honest. More like I am merely solidly competent. (I know, there ain't no 'merely' about that. I know. Still.)

I plan to buy published works that have you or that you edited one day, but in the meantime, where can one go to get their pantryslut readin' fix?

Well, if you're local, you can always browse my brag shelf.

And, let's see, there's always Dead. Nude. Girls. and Cocksucker. And The Secret Life of Mr. Clean. And if you're really interested and/or a completist, there's Shrimping, a very short foot fetish story I wrote a long time ago.

Please keep in mind all fiction is fiction ;)

That's June for you!

Thursday, I took a very long walk around Lake Merritt with babies, G., and a friend, and ended up slightly sunburnt. Also mildly blistered on my feet. But it was worth it, a gloriously sunny day to be out and about in.

On Friday, we left the girls in the care of [livejournal.com profile] smallstages and [livejournal.com profile] gordonzola so that I could have a chance to see Steven and G. read at the City Arts Gallery in the Mission, along with several other friends including [livejournal.com profile] borggrrl. Wow, you all rocked! I also got to meet a tiny little baby who was wearing some familiar-looking hand-me-downs. Afterwards., G. and I headed to what turned out to be the Best Hubba Hubba Revue Evar. Clowns vs. mimes! Pregnant snake burlesque complete with belly-based tassel twirling! Ostriches! Accordions! Tattooed ladies, er, 'ladies', er, who cares! A gorilla falling into my sweetie's lap! Yeah, it was a fun night.

Saturday afternoon, G. and I went to see "The Butch Factor" at the Victoria. The theme: gay men's relationship to masculinity. The crowd: very, very Castro. The documentary was kinda slick and "Real World"-y, but lots of fun and more thoughtful than you might expect from first glance.

That evening, another fine babysitter in the form of [livejournal.com profile] aquenigmatic held down the fort with Steven as G. and I headed to "QPocalypse Now," which was just a fabulously giddy concoction. I was surprisingly moved by the invocation of Octavia Butler (two days before her birthday, yo!) as a kind of POC prophet of the apocalypse, via the Parable books. It was weird to see someone you knew treated that way, if that makes sense? Not bad-weird, just unexpected-weird. That was just a small part of the show, though, which managed to be moving and silly and funny and thoughtful and sexy all at once.

Sunday afternoon I caught "Maggots and Men" at the Castro with Steven. And it was like someone rooted around in my brain and made a movie from what they found in there (I mean, hello, homoerotic Russian sailors filled with comradely revolutionary fervor, black and white film, stylized sets and performance bits, etc., etc., etc.) and then cast it with friends of mine. I don't know why everybody else was there, because it's obvious this movie was made for me, thank you.

I bought BBQ and ice cream and White Castle's to keep G. fed on his first father's day, and otherwise we spent a quiet night at home. The ladies entertained us with their antics, I gave G. a real present and a "present" in the form of Venus Williams vs. some football players. And once again, I am ready for some rest and respite. One more movie to go, one more parental swing-by, a social call late in the week, and then I think I will spend *next* weekend soaking up some sun and otherwise breathing deeply and slowly.
