Dec. 15th, 2009 02:12 pm1. April appears to greatly enjoy New Orleans-style jazz. OK, then. Alas, I do not have a large collection of such. Perhaps I will fix this; it's not like I dislike the genre, I just have had other priorities up until now.
2. Both ladies have taken to playing with the brush for a quite protracted period after I do their hair each morning. Today Simone tried to bush April's hair for her. Meanwhile, April twirled her brush like a baton after using it on her own head.
3. Some babies tear books. Some babies eat books. April is planning on trying out for the circus strongperson slot someday, because she has taken to ripping books apart in one blow by tearing across their bindings.
4. Babies are smarter than you think: I just intervened in a toy-snatching incident by talking it out, plus tickles and cuddles. And it seems to have worked not only in short-circuiting a tantrum, but in actually getting the message across. Fingers crossed.
5. We get to see what the ladies think of Christmas trees and lights tonight.
