Mighty Huntress Fritzi

When our youngest cat Fritzi is in toy-stalking mode, her pupils dilate until they've taken up most of her visible eye socket. Huge, black, round eyes. It's fun to actually watch her shift between modes and have her pupils shrink, expand, shrink again.

When she is in toy-stalking mode, look out. She is murderous and merciless. So far, nobody's lost any fingers or skin -- this is because she is also damn accurate and always goes for the toy instead of the human running the toy.

We bought her a new toy yesterday. A long multi-colored ribbon of fabric on a stick. Wave it, and it moves like a snake. It has already earned out.

the ribbon toy kicks @ss - just make sure and put it away when she's not being supervised using it (one of my cats ate a sizable chunk of the "ribbon")
