Aug. 10th, 2004 05:48 pmOne of the more worrying aspects of my job is the pain in my shoulder.
My shoulder stiffens up every afternoon, usually as a consequence of the part of my job that involves stuffing envelopes.
Shoulder stiffeness is an old, uh, friend of mine, but I haven't had much of it in several years, not since my little bout with physical therapy at the very least.
This is bad. This is as bad as it was in high school. This is every day, stiff and painful. And I can't pinpoint exactly what activities are causing it, either.
I suppose I must wait it out until insurance kicks in, and then hie myself to a doctor and then probably to physical therapy again. But it makes me concerned about my longtime viability in an office job of any sort.

Date: 2004-08-10 08:02 pm (UTC)Yes, I take breaks and do stretches, and it helps, but not as much as I would hope. Ditto ibuprofin. And the mailing can be as short as ten minutes and still cause a great deal of pain.
