1) I am vastly amused at the number of folks who replied to my anniversary query with some variation of, "oh, well, we don't really bother." My conclusion: my friends are all a bunch of lazy-ass folks.

(Not that I am one to chide, since as I noted I couldn't remember my own damn anniversary for nine years. But G. would really like a date to commemorate.)

2) What? Am I just not visually inspiring or what?
