dim sum memories
Oct. 10th, 2004 11:24 pmI took myself out to lunch at Yank Sing on Friday to make up for the fact that the rest of the office was getting paid to sit in a hotel banquet room, listen to boring speeches, and get some seniority trinkets.
It brought back a couple memories.
First, taking G. to Jade Villa earlier this year for his first dim sum experience. He said, "I'm glad you handled the ordering part, because I would have just asked for one of everything." How could I not love this man?
Second, and similarly, my friend Heather declaring, "I'll eat anything except innards, so if we get something and it turns out to have innards, it'll be yours." No wonder that I like her, too.
P.S. Jade Villa has the best shrimp dumplings that I've tasted in the Bay Area.
