And no; many men seem far from pigs (or lions, or whatever else she turned men into). I was figuring it was those *specific* men, rather than men in general. OTOH, my memory of the Circe story(ies) is probably largely eclipsed now by the version in Silverlock.
The bugs remain. Dirty creatures always find bugs; men, the lice that crawl on scalp and scrote, pigs, the fleas and tics that adore the mud, machines, the overflow and missing referent.
What was a sorceress to do? Bad code turned into a slovenly pig, a rude and sloppy man into an application with a bad interface, and a tendency to corrupt her files.
Better to throw them all into the sea, and wait for the next ship, the next release, the next herder of pigs to come by.
