So, I log into my work email today like I do every morning, and what do I find?

A message requesting us to please wear business attire on Friday.

Today.

A little more warning would have been nice...

Fortunately, judging from what everyone else has on, a lot of other people didn't get the notice until it was too late either.

Grr. Argh.

And what do they mean by "business attire"?

(I want to start the new line of clothing: "Editorwear" for comfortable stuff to wear about the house...)

Just curious: Why would they care? I mean, I can see asking people to not wear teeshirts with racist slogans, but seriously. When was the last time a client came to the office?

Well, when 'client' means someone who sends us cases (as opposed to patients) -- that would be today, thus the request.

Not that I ever actually saw said visitors.

I was going to say, why would they meet you or even come near? There's just no point except that posses like to show off how hard their workers are working away.

I assume you mean "bosses?" I like the idea of "posses," though. It makes just as much sense in context.

To their credit, my office is usually very relaxed when it comes to office attire, which is one reason I was so surprised and annoyed by the e-mail.
