status update

pantryslutThanks to everyone who's wished me well as I embark on my full-time job adventure, either in person or online or both. It's a big step! But I like to think I'm taking it with my eyes open.
I'm still filling out all my paperwork. And I have at least two more trainings coming up. I need to be trained to use my time card! For some reason, this particularly tickles me.
Here's to two days of *paid* holidays coming up later this week. And many more lunch dates and happy hours to come.
Meanwhile, I am reading Rent Girl and 1610; I saw Kinsey this weekend and liked it well enough; I might even have some music mentions soon if I ever sit down long enough to listen to a few new discs I've picked up lately.
I'm still running parties and readings for the foreseeable future, and for right now I'm maintaining my porn review gig. I also hope to get more writing-for-myself in. And this next issue of the zine out. And maybe squeeze in some not-so-structured writing time in there somewhere. So I'm, uh, keeping myself busy.
And I have other secret plans in the works. I'll keep you all posted.
Oh, and I cooked a delicious chicken soup with escarole and butternut squash last night. Helped take the freezer down to almost-manageable levels by using up all the stock. Must make more stock and use up other frozen things instead.
I used my new cheap but sturdy industrial soup pot. I am in love.
I have tons left over. What to do?
