It's an administrative snafu. Our section has four printers assigned to it -- someone else has mine, for some reason. My supervisor and the lead WP didn't know this until this morning. Much agitated noises are now being made on my behalf.

All I can think of now is your supervisor looking at the table where the printer that should be yours is and engaging in Fritzi's "I know there's a wonderful toy upon the high shelf, many of them, why won't you let me play with them" warble of dismay and disbelief.
