Mar. 17th, 2005 11:04 amI just fell in love with my mini sushi desktop calendar. Here's why.
Entry for today, March 17, 2005:
"Many people cannot resist piling the ginger high on their sushi in a blatant attempt to shortcut the system by cleansing and eating at the same time. This is bad."
How on earth did this make it past the editing process? However it managed, I am grateful for it. (Not the least because it sounds like *I* could have written it.)

It's supposed to clear the palate...
Ah-ha! Now I get the "to cleanse" reference. And, in that case, it most definitely makes sense to me to eat it between pieces of sushi instead of with each piece. (If, of course, you're eating the ginger to cleanse and not simply because you like the way it tastes with the sushi.)
