Jun. 25th, 2003 04:28 pmI am having RSI flareups this week, in my right arm, and in my back and shoulders. I'm late on one of my deadlines as a result, which only increases my stress.
I have a bit of a sore throat, too.
But it's the RSI flareups that worry me. I don't want to be slowly crippling myself. I've entertained the thought that maybe it's time for a career change. But what could I do that wouldn't involve heavy typing work? Let me make the emphasis clear: what could *I* do that wouldn't involve heavy typing work? What would anyone bother to hire me for?
What I really need, of course, is a secretary to take my dictation. S/he could do my filing, too. But somehow I don't think that's in the cards.
Meanwhile, what I also need, I think, is a vacation. Slightly more likely than a secretary, but not much.
Stopgap measures would be enough money to do the massage, yoga or other classes, etc. that my physical therapist recommended. A year and a half ago.

But really if you want a massage I could do that a little bit. And I like touching you.
