I forgot to add: the first real English peas of the season are here! Not in great abundance, but enough to sprinkle in some dish or another. Suggestions welcome.
(Snap peas are back for the second week in a row; the last chard of the season also arrived yesterday -- I think I will eat it with walnuts and free-boiled rice and eggs. Also, a very pretty head of red leaf lettuce.)
