Holiday Weekend? What Holiday Weekend?
Jul. 4th, 2003 09:40 pmOn this weekend's agenda:
1) I need to finish a cleanup edit I'm doing on a friend's manuscript (for pay).
2) I need to do a much-belated Storymistress update.
3) I need to try and schedule a last-minute interview for a piece I'm doing for Girlfriends. (The last-minuteness is their fault, not mine.)
And if I'm lucky, I'll get a little bit of writing in there, too. But I'm not counting on it.
So, I did take it easy today, not really getting moving until 3 or so in the afternoon, and going light on cooking and such. And we're going to have brownies and a movie and maybe popcorn in a bit. But that's it for my leisure time.
The neighborhood is filled with crackles and booms -- but no gunfire, as far as I can tell.
In other news, my sister Jill is in the hospital for kidney stones. Actually, I believe she's home now. She was operated upon earlier today, and word is that she's fine and recovering nicely. But it's been a bit of an exciting week for her, and not in a good way. This is one time that I'm sorry I live so far away -- I can't do anything but think supportive thoughts, and a lot of good that does, eh?
