The run-up to WisCon, or, as scatterbrained as I wanna be

So, I may have made good dinners the past two days, but I also fucked up my second batch of fava beans in two weeks by leaving them out on the counter overnight after blanching and peeling them. I also left out a bag of half-shelled peas.

I'd say I don't know where my head's at, except I do. I'm trying to cram in all my last-minute monthly deadline work before WisCon. I finished my profile of [data embargo] last night; I still have five porn reviews to complete.

I left the asparagus I was going to give away in the fridge this morning, too.

(* I only say this because I seemingly-inevitably came down with a cold anytime I went to WisCon. Though I haven't been in several years so I don't know if my immune systems is finally coping with the Midwest.)

It's not as alliterative, but all I ever seem to get are allergy attacks and attendant headaches. :/ Seems I always spend Friday afternoon sitting in a dark hotel room with a washcloth on my eyes.
