I just got fan mail for my story "The Dodo Factory" from the Director of Technical Programs for American Livestock Breeds Conservancy.

Why this is so cool will only make sense if you've read the story. But, but, but look -- he knows all about unimproved domestic turkeys! And then some. And he sent me fan mail instead of cranky technical nitpickery. Yay!

I'm reading now a series where people have dodo pets. 'Sfun. "The Eyre Affair" by Jasper Fforde is the first one.
