I am going to have stew* forever. Anybody wants to share a bowl of stew with me, let me know. It's really good.

Also grapes. G. still had grapes left over from last week, and now we are inundated again.

The cheese, however, is disappearing rather faster than you might expect.

And, of course, the pasties are gone. Gone, but not forgotten.

* Properly, it's a ragout.

Cheese is sneaky. Check under the crisper.

Man, I never did get any of that stew. I was too nervous to eat much before my performance and then, afterward, there was CAKE!

Unfortunately, I don't think my office is close enough to yours to have lunch together. :(

Maybe we can make a short stew donation run to your apt. sometime this week. (The stew is sooo good. [livejournal.com profile] wild_irises made it and [livejournal.com profile] fightingtiger chopped the veggies. It's got wine and other fancy things in it. You want to give it a second chance and a second home :) )

I think I'll remember those cherries for years to come...

sorry for the off-topic comment but

um, WOW, nice icon, sweetie. that was really something. I felt honored to have been there!

and I didn't get a chance to eat the stew, either- I'd had dinner shortly before I arrived... (which didn't stop me from eating a huge pile, by the end of the night, of bread and cheese...)

You, too, can have a second chance at the stew!

Thank you!

I will give a call later this week maybe! Our fridge is stuffed right now with fresh home made corn chowder and a bunch of other stuff not yet cooked.

I don't think everyone realized that the bread was [livejournal.com profile] alanbostick's legendary homemade sourdough, or there wouldn't have been so many leftovers.

As it was, there wasn't very much bread left over anyway.

Wrong. [livejournal.com profile] alanbostick brought home at least 10 baguettes, and I think more. We're slowly working our way through them.

Ah, he disappeared them before we had a chance to fall upon the leftovers! Darn.

What to do with leftover bread

It's tomato season, so: panzanella!

no, I certainly didn't! I did eat plenty, though, so I don't feel I neglected it, though I'm sorry I didn't take a couple home!
funny, I was wondering why it was so damn good for store-bought bread...
