Sometimes it does indeed seem like my life works in big spiral loops. I realized yesterday that I am once again working for a big nonprofit contracted with the government -- my first fulltime job out of college was for a Department of Education study administered by NORC in Chicago. I don't even mention that on my resume any more, but here I am again.

The commute was a little shorter in those days. I could walk to work.

I was not any more timely.

when were you at NORC? i was there for a while..........

I was at NORC in 1993 and 1995, if I remember correctly. Two one-year contracts. Both at the 55th Street building, not the one on the Midway.

ahh--long after my time then--i was there in 1987 - 88, iirc.
