pantryslutLast night's reading was a lot of fun, and I was happy to share some of Octavia's prose with people. Even if, damn, that woman really *was* a novelist! She's hard to excerpt in 5 minutes! Thus I spared all my listeners the actual gore in "Bloodchild." Too bad. ;)
Nalo Hopkinson was wonderful as usual, and I can't wait to read her book, The New Moon's Arms. What else did I buy? Ellen Forney's new comics collection, and something else. Plus a lot of postcards.
Dinner afterwards was fun, too, and it was nice to find good fod in the Haight at last. Thanks to everyone who came out and hung around last night. Let's do it again sometime.
