3. Tonight I get a haircut. Just in time for WisCon! And boy do I need it.

4. Tonight I also pack for WisCon. I haven't even thought about it. I am a packing procrastinator. If you think I should bring something, tell me in the comments. I'm taking requests.

5. Except for the books. I've thought about those.

:)

You know, if I were driving, I might actually consider it. Or even just a hot plate.

You know, if you think of this earlier (or remind me before next year) that's why people mail things back and forth. ;)

Uhn. I have an unreasonable prejudice against mailing things to hotels.

True. OTOH, we do know people who live in the near area, or who drive to WisCon and might be talked into taking one extra package, in exchange for some yummy hot-plate food. ;)

You know, I suggested this an age ago. I even sent her links for mail-order hot plates. (I believe the "morels in Madison" complaint was the spur.) I even noted that there are (probly crappy) ones for under $30, which makes it less painful to leave behind, should there not be room to bring it home.

I will suggest to you now that, should you mail-order such a hot-plate TODAY, you may well have it in time to use on Friday.

when I was travelling a lot for work, I took to saving my packing lists. My specific clothing needs weren't always the same (due to weather variations), but the basics were always the same. And lemme tell you: it helped me SO much. I just left the packing list in the outside pocket of my suitcase, and it was there next time.

Because I always forget something. Doesn't everyone? But the list helps assure that whatever I forget, it's not truly essential, like at the meds-and-toothbrush level.
