I knew it was inevitable.

In the mail today, a seed catalog.

I have no garden anymore. Seed catalogs are torture, pure torture.

It's taunting me, pure and simple.

I'm still going to read it cover to cover.

Want a Nearby Garden?

We pay someone to do occasional maintenance on our tiny front yard, and I'd love to have someone get pleasure out of it ...

That sounds like an excellent arrangement.

My first year of college, I got a seed catalog in the mail, addressed to "[name I don't remember] or current resident, PO Box 555, New Haven, CT 06520." It was Connecticut, and February, and while I had no garden, I was glad of the pictures.

I'm going to seriously consider this offer.

I suspect [livejournal.com profile] dryadgrl will be attempting to rope me back into the community garden at the Humanist Hall as soon as she sees this, too. Not that there's necessarily any reason I can't do both. Flowers for you, veggies for them...it could work.

Do you have space (inside or out) for a pot garden? (No, not the drug! I mean, a selection of large pots, medium, and small plant pots that you can fill with herbs and other stuff. I have aloes for you!!!

Morgan the ravenous will eat to the bare stem any leafy plant I bring into the house. And judging from the way Fritzi was trying to dismantle the cactus, I suspect she would be second in line. So alas, no pot gardens in my future.

Though I think that the business manager would tolerate an outdoor pot or two in the courtyard. (I must ask if the herbs are up for grabs or not...)
