Hip-hop videos are the new porn (but we knew that, right?): "Researchers studied rap videos and found that they sexualized women, placed too much emphasis on their physical appearance and treated them more as decorative objects rather than "active agents." Uh, doesn't that hold true for most of pop culture and advertising? It's so annoying how rap and hip hop are always being called out for that, when there are plenty of equally (if not more) offensive other influences in the media." (Jezebel)
3. Larry Craig Halloween costume ideas. Mine's there: Duh, navy suit and a square of toilet paper taped to the bottom of your wingtips. I like the idea of going with a friend dressed like a cop, though. Have I mentioned I'm trying to pull together a police costume? Not for Halloween, just in general.
