break it down.

a) Delicata squash with barbecue rub, cinnamon, and butter = yum. I did this on Sunday.
b) Open faced appetizers of toasty bread, chocolate goat cheese, red pepper, and a chive = yum. I did not do this, I only ate it.
c) My new double boiler arrived in time for G. to make chocolate chili sauce. The pot is a little bigger and a little flimsier than I expected, but it'll do.
d) The key to my heart may be breakfast.
Movies
a) The Barry Bonds home run ball documentary was fun.
b) I accidentally outed myself at a party as having a fetish for watching DVDs in one language that I don't understand, subtitled in another language that I don't understand. I think I shouted excitedly. More wonderfully, the party crowd indulged me, if only for a few minutes. You totally didn't have to! Wow.
Birthdays
a) Fun!
b) Fun!
c) Scorpios!
Dancing
a) I need to do that more.
b) How to dance sexy without really trying: 1. you have hips, use them. 2. What are you doing with your arms? 3. Move your feet once in a while. 4. Relax.
c) I do not hold a candle to G., but then again, few recreational dancers do. And when he has space on the dance floor to move? Watch out.
d) And we haven't even discussed the laps.
Watching
a) Many things benefit from amateur enthusiasm. Polish is overrated. (Technical accomplishment, however, when combined with enthusiasm, is not.)
b) I like to see the glow on people's faces when they are doing what they love.
c) I like convincing people to try new things. Like linoleum-cut graphics.
Also
a) My hair was perfect.
b) The shoes. The rain. The chocolate. The bubbles.
c) Friends and connections.
d) Kick-ass readings.
