So, where were we?

Right!
1. Latkes, jelly doughnuts, steak salad over arugula -- all yum. Macaroni and cheese with kale, not bad for an impromptu dinner. I would have preferred it as a casserole but I didn't have time.
2. All writing has been suspended for porn awards viewing. My eyeballs are burning. There's some good stuff this year! But my stamina for marathon porn viewing sessions is low.
3. When the voting period is over, I will have some recommendations for you.
4. Socializing has not been suspended. Still, I feel like a dull girl with not much to talk about (unless you want to hear about corporate mergers or awards voting). This accounts for the state of this journal, here, too.
5. It was nice to run into friends on the train yesterday.
6. I have a lot of appointments of various kinds coming up.
7. Breakfast and lunch continue to be conundrums.
8. Not only do I have two lads who love me, I have a lot of friends who care, too. Thanks, guys, for your notes and your offers and your general encouragement. We will catch up soon.
9. Or food! I can always talk about food.
10. And you?

Date: 2007-12-14 09:52 pm (UTC)I tried my hand at stir-fried udon for the first time the other day. It was gummy when we ate it (but definitely delicious), and then drier and much easier to eat the second day. I did have it hot at a restaurant... any brilliant ideas on how to get dry on the first go-round (I don't believe I overcooked it), or is it just reheated the day-old stuff that gets that texture?
