You make avocado toasts? How do you usually prepare it?
My favorite is to use baguette, sliced at an angle and just warmed in the toaster oven. Then I spread the avocado (if really ripe, thin slices if not as soft) and cover it with finely minced red onion and cilantro and drizzle it with any one or combination of lime juice & soy sauce, lemon olive oil & fig balsamic, saba, chili oil - I think I am leaving something out... and coarsely ground black pepper and pink sea salt.
I usually just toast some wheat bread, spread half an avocado on each piece, drizzle a little lemon juice over it, and then grind a lot of black pepper over.
Mmm... I love avocado. I'm a sucker for avocado toast for breakfast (with chai and backgammon).
You know, I was deprived of avocado as a child. It was one of two things (the other was dark chocolate) that my mom always said, "This is grown up food, you guys don't like this, remember?" ... and kept it all for herself.
She would go over our halloween candy and pull out any Hershey's Special Dark Chocolate bars or cull valentine's chocolates for dark pieces and say the same thing...
None of us knew the truth until we moved away for college. *sigh*
