I could have sworn I still had a bottle of saba in the pantry, but for the life of me I can't find it.

We'll see if my emergency last-minute substitution turns out.

(Also, how did we manage to accumulate so much beer?)

You had a party, and people brought some and then left it.

Or at least, that's how it happens around our house.

I use it to make beer bread in the winter. Mmmm. Even crap beer makes very nice beer bread.

I suspect this is the case, although we usually specify that we prefer non-alcoholic drinks for just this reason.

We often braise brats in beer, but that's not going to use it up fast enough.
