Considering I just turned in my monthly music review, I found this amusing:

You are .mp3 The kids love you. You get along with just about everybody except the music industry. You really make yourself heard.

My last physical therapy appointment for my shoulder was today. I learned a new stretch, for a total of three. We did some more massage and heatpack work. We talked about how things have changed over the past two weeks. I'm not all better, but I am much improved.

In addition to massage and heat packs, my PT recommended that I do some further stretching work with a backwards rowing motion -- either with free weights, or on a rowing machine or similar contraption at the gym.

Also in the last two weeks, I have become supremely aware of my posture. If the next time you see me I look taller, it's probably not the shoes.

I want a pretty paper certificate to hang on my fridge that says I graduated. Maybe with a gold star on it.

This is a game for writers and non-writers alike:

You know how all too often, the bio note on the back flap of an author's book includes some reciation of all the odd jobs they've held down in their life? Like, "Mr. Alejandro has worked as a private pet investigator, horse scrubber, and lint dissector. He lives in Toronto." It always sounds to me like they're taking weird pride in their weird jobs, like they've earned an obscure merit badge or something.

So, what is the most "writerly" job you've ever had?

I'll start: I was a phone psychic.*

Addendum: As I said in the comments to [livejournal.com profile] beckastar, I definitely do not want to limit this exercise to the writers of my acquaintance. *Everyone* deserves to have a bio note full of their quirky jobs. What would yours say?

*Phone sex was such a step up, believe me.
